Default Droknar's Armor and Ascension

What do you think of this? I sent this to GW and they said to post it to see what kinds of responses they get.

Would you please consider making it impossible for low levels to wear Droknar's or 15k armor? It sets up a few problems. One is that people go get it, then go into the low level arenas, making it unfair and unpleasant for those who try to follow the intended game path. Alot of people just quit playing arena because of this. (Elite skills are also a problem here.)

The second problem is the swindling that goes on. People advertise to run people places, take their money and leave.

One of the things that I was a bit disappointed about was what happens after ascension. Truthfully, once you get to that point, the experience you get from ascending has little meaning. I know that you guys are working on making more things for ascended players to do, but I was expecting ascension to do something bigger for me. I think it would be great if you couldn't by Droknars or 15k armor unless you were ascended. Also, making ascension required for capping skills would make it mean alot more.

Thank you for your consideration.

I wouldn't mind of the fact that you should not be allowed to gain access to the armor depending on your gaming level. But to me when you reach a certain point you should be able to depending on lvl requirements of the armor.

There is also a thread that someone has posted saying something about Low Level players gaining Drok Armor and participating in the Arena. GW was going to do something about it, but it seems that idea has faded away until recently.

I would just find it lame that considering I easily reach lvl 20 before I even get close to the Desert area to be Ascended, so lvl requirments would be fair to me, but having to be ascended would be lame.

i agree to the armor points and stuff but i'm totally against a restriction for capping skills!
i loved the times where you could cap skills from the very beginning and was sad when i saw that the first cap sig was available in LA

however, the equipping of elite skills could be limited for ascended chars only!

that would not be good.. to cap elite skills and use them only AFTER ascending. many people would not like that

I don't care one way or the other what armor you get. as long as it is not abused by using it in low level arenas. If you save money by getting the best armor in droknars. great. more power too you. If you play the game and get max armor for free in the desert from collectors. Even better... But again if you are a low level and doing this with the sole purpose of cheating in arenas. then shame on you and your kind.

My personal preference would be maxing AL class in the low arenas so if you are wearing max armor they are either disqualified, or negated AL down to equal level.

but as far as questing goes. who really cares.. more power to you... missions and quest are an element of the PvE and almost completely single player anymore. as there is no reason to party with individual players for such endeavors. Sure you can, if you want too, but in such cases the better the AL you got the better for the party against the creatures, not other players...

No I don't play with people much anymore unless I'm feeling generous and want to do something unexpected. there really is not any reason to be forced to party with generally lousy players for PvE, except in the last 3 missions. then its a challenge finding competence at all. That's the hardest part of the PvE part of the game anymore. Finding people that PLAY the game and not just want to be run or pulled through the game with no effort on their part. Trust me If I could kick people from a party, many would not be as far as they are now. I know several people on my ignore list that have abused a mission by just afking and making us finish it on our own. yet allowing the AFKer to benefit from the mission or bonus completion... I can't tell you how sick that makes some players... but the only one that it really hurts it the incompetent fool that did it, cause normally, there is no way they can possibly fight in the newly accessible area and survive.

I agree that armor should be restricted for arenas, but people can get run anywhere...thats right anywhere, and you have to make it to becons perch anyway to get run to draks and most people charge 3k 1 at each stop, there are also people who do runs for free and accept donations, i know cause someone ran me there and i gave him under 1k and he was cool with it.

IF you looking for an easy way somewhere then you should be aware that you could get scammed, but part of it is you let yourself get scammed like the age old saying Buyer Beware.

Latest thing i seen is ppl offering say 80k on something closing the window and saying oops and then opening the trade again trying to get away with giving you 80 gp. I Had that happen to me 4 times within 1 hour. Good thing i'm never in a rush to get that money, and i check eveything in the trade window.

As far as "intended" game path you can skip all of the wilds, and several more areas.
and restricting capping skills..i don't agree with that, it gives me a bit more i can do at anytime if i dont feel like completing a mission or farming etc i can go skill capping.

it would be much better to just restrict arenas.Making people follow a game a certain way can get borning and tiresome it becomes like a reg consol game then...fight die fight die die die die ..at some point you turn it into a grind cause you can't move on untill you beat certain things, in GW that's the 3 desert missions but you dont really have to grind to do it and if you don't find a guild to help you out it makes things that much harder.

I think there are more important things for anet to worry about other than people running to droks at low levels and people getting scammed in such small ways, don't want to get scammed then pay attention, but i can agree with restricting in arenas.

:::End Transmission:::

Now I for one think its unfair to restrict the PvE players simply to suit the "demands and ideals" of the PvP player. For example.. Someone has played the game already, got everything, saw everything, did everything. He/She decides to make a new character, makes it to ascalon post searing, gets run to Droknar and buys Droknar armor. He/She then goes back to Ascalon and continues playing the game. Any harm done there? I don't believe so. As far as scammer runners. It will always happen. As long as one area is accessable from another, there will always be someone willing run you there, or someone wanting to be run there, and someone thoughtless enough to scam anyone wishing to get run there.

So to make YOU PvP players happy, All Anet needs to do is set an armor and skill limit on lower arenas so you all getting pwned can find another excuse. All they need to do is restrict access to anyone wearing over 40 armor and I'm sure they can track those elite skills and have them removed from your skill bar when your character enters the arena. That way, all you PvP ascended lv20 with your fissure armor and godly powers, can once again go back to lowly arenas and kill all the noobs and newbies.

I would have to say this if these player are in guild it should be the reponsiblty of the Guild Leaders for this if low levels have 1.5 k armor or 15 k.I hd t deal with this exact problem with a level 14 already in in the Forger and wanted his Forge armor before I got mine the leader although he was a leader of another guild. This person was only in my guild for 24 to 48 hours and thought the one who brought him in was the leader one of my officers who I brought through pre searing yep I wasted my time on him took him everywhere in post.I just said no t him about the forger armor and in 2 minutes both of these officers left.I took it upon myself to do this as leader although I am wearing some pieces of Forge armor and have been exploring the southshiver peaks .I am on both charators level 20 unascended.
